In an effort to appeal to the urban customer, Lowe’s went further than just shrinking down their footprint for a smaller scale store. They went to great efforts to truly understand the lifestyle of the city dweller and the end result is nothing short of amazing! The Upper West Side and Chelsea neighborhoods are home to two new debut Lowe’s concept stores, each around 30,000 sq. ft.
Just a few of the notable conveniences of the new stores include; display windows, street side flowers for purchase with a potting station, curbside pickup, and “Next Aisle Over” technology that puts thousands of additional more bulky products available for purchase and quick delivery.
Throughout the store the signage serves as a valuable resource that communicates that more products are available and navigates customers through the space. The signage and graphics for this project were printed by Pratt Visual Solutions, a division of The Vomela Companies—a long term print partner for Lowe’s. We were all very excited to be a part of this project and even more excited to see that it made the cover of the February issue of design:retail magazine!
