The graphics, print, and visual communications industry has a huge environmental footprint. Inks, substrates, solvents, energy-intensive production processes, and significant shipping volumes all add up. For too long, sustainability was treated as someone else's problem in this space.
We don't believe that anymore—and neither do a growing number of our clients and partners.
That's why we're proud to announce that Vomela has become a signatory of The Climate Pledge, a commitment co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019 to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040—a full decade ahead of the Paris Agreement's 2050 target.
But signing a pledge is only meaningful if you are prepared and have already begun doing the work. Here's what that looks like at Vomela.
What Is The Climate Pledge?
The Climate Pledge is a cross-industry commitment built on three core obligations for signatories:
These aren't vague aspirations. They're operational commitments—and for a company such as Vomela—with manufacturing, distribution, and fleet operations across multiple locations—meeting them requires genuine organizational will.
Building for Years
Joining The Climate Pledge is a milestone, but it's not the beginning of our journey. Vomela has been building toward this for years in a variety of ways:
Serious About Sustainability
The market is shifting. Brands are scrutinizing the environmental credentials of their entire supply chain—including their print and graphics partners. Signing The Climate Pledge is a signal to our clients, our employees, and the industry that Vomela is the kind of partner that is serious about the environment and sustainability. Having a formal commitment with defined milestones and reporting requirements holds us accountable in ways that good intentions alone never could.
But accountability isn't the only reason. This moment also reflects the power of collaboration. What’s more, Vomela approach is amplifying our collective impact. Initiatives like our Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) certification, PFL’s relationship with PrintReleaf, and Moss’s partnership with EcoVadis underscore that we aren't just talking about responsible business—we're actively measuring it, improving it, and building industry relationships that push the entire sector forward. We also remain committed to working alongside our clients and industry partners to advance sustainability solutions that go beyond our own four walls.
Start Acting Now
In 2019, when Amazon and Global Optimism co-founded The Climate Pledge, it was a bold provocation—a dare to the corporate world to stop waiting for 2050 and start acting now. Today, hundreds of organizations across dozens of industries have signed on, forming a powerful community of businesses united by a shared commitment to a low-carbon future. Together, this community is sending a collective market signal that demand for low-carbon products and services is real, growing, and worth building toward. (A complete list of signatories can be found here.)
Vomela is proud to join that community—and even prouder of the work that made signing it something we could do with confidence.
