St. Paul, Minn. July 25, 2018 - The Vomela St Paul operations team recently received certification of the ISO 9001:2015 standard following an audit conducted by our independent registrar, SAI Global. The update from the 2008 standard to the 2015 standard was the largest in the ISO 9001 standard’s history.
“Our dedicated employees work every day to meet our customers’ needs with quality and exceptional service by following our processes for continuous improvement,“ The Vomela Companies President & CEO Mark Auth said. “Congratulations on a job well done.”
The significant changes to the standard focus on making sure everyone at Vomela is contributing to and working within our Quality Management System, from sales to shipping. This includes holding our vendors responsible for quality and service as well. Increasing the emphasis of risk management at every level by looking at outputs from each business unit in our process flow is one component of the 9001:2015 standard that elevates our Quality Management System to a Business Management System.
The ISO 9001: 2015 quality management standard was developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This standard emphasizes various quality management principles that include; a strong customer focus, the process approach, and continual improvement.
