Prepping Your Printed Graphics for the Halloween Season

Halloween is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start preparing those in-store promotions and specials. Fortunately, there are several quick and economic options that can help you drive more business for the holiday without sacrificing quality. You don’t have to go all out to do your branded Halloween graphics justice, so don’t fret if you’re working on a budget and looking for a quick turnaround. 

Here are a few things to keep in mind.

 Drive Home Your Seasonal Branding at the Point of Purchase

If you can’t dedicate the resources to convert your entire store into a haunted house or even create on-brand graphics that reflect the season, focusing your efforts on the point of purchase will go a long way. 

Point of purchase (POP) and standee graphics are a long-time favorite among businesses that need to quickly create signage for an upcoming promotion. They cover considerable space and they’re not difficult to deploy, making them the perfect choice for your Halloween promotional efforts. 

Keep in mind which kind of promotion you want to maximize, such as a seasonal products, events, or Halloween specials. Once you have your goal in mind, it will be easy to roll out printed graphics when the season begins. 

Stick To a Halloween Routine If You Can

While it would be wonderful to roll out entirely unique graphics for every Halloween season, this is often not practical or the most cost-effective decision. Repurposing old signage that you used for previous Halloween seasons, especially the more expensive signage, will allow you to focus on more nuanced updates to your Halloween printing.  

Don’t let this discourage you from exploring new graphics, however! While some companies prefer to order their print graphics just before each respective season, it can be far more cost effective to order Thanksgiving and Christmas promotional graphics while you order your Halloween graphics. The shipping costs will be cheaper and you’ll be prepared in advance in case you want to order a bit more down the road. 

You will, of course, need to know all of your promotions in advance to make this work. Though there is a little more upfront work and planning involved with this route, it’s certainly worth it in the long run.
