There are a few tricks you can use to repurpose your seasonal displays, which helps streamline your seasonal retail print program.
For instance, when you're ordering from your printer, request that they put all the materials from two upcoming campaigns in the same shipment; this saves on shipping, and you're ahead of the game.
Double duty signs are another way to save. You can request double-sided signage from your printer; whether it's a refresh of your seasonal campaign or an entirely new campaign, flipping the sign is easier and cheaper than ordering a whole new set.
And that brings us to our topic today: Repurposing seasonal display areas of your store.
Here are just a few examples we've compiled to help you save time and money as you're planning back-to-school and end-of-summer promotional displays.
Rotating "New Idea" Bays
This home improvement retailer recycles their "New Ideas" bay with updated concepts and promotions. The bay essentially stays the same and new items and signage are rotated throughout the seasons.
Back to School / BOGO Promos
In this example, a major shoe chain uses easily removable signs that can be used whenever they have a BOGO sale. The end cap can get a facelift with the addition of a small clip-on sign or larger end panel.
Summer Sales / Seasonal Areas
Many major department stores and smaller specialty stores recycle a particluar section of their space—a special seasonal area of the stores can be repurposed for back to school promotions, holiday items, and summer sales.
This organization retailer is another great example, as you can see in the photos below. The foundation of this common area in the middle of the store can be recycled throughout the year, with fresh signs, wraps, and cut-out displays for each season.
Your print partner should be able to provide even more creative, custom solutions for recycling seasonal promotional displays. Interested in brainstorming with one of our retail experts? Email us or give us a call—we'd love to help!
