# Using Print Graphics for Social Distancing in Entertainment Spaces

The year 2020 changed everything; how we manage our households, how we do business, and how we interact with the world at large. As we move into 2021, the safety practices and protocols people have gotten used to are becoming more of a societal norm than a momentary safeguard.
As [major events](https://www.vomela.com/what-we-do/expertise/event-graphics/) including sports, concerts, and movies begin to resume, the physical spaces will continue to change to accommodate social distancing guidelines. The places people are most likely to spend their time after things open up are going to be the spaces that showed, and continue to show, that they take the health and wellness of their patrons seriously.

### **Welcome back signage.**
A simple "Welcome Back" message is easy to develop and serves an excellent purpose. It warms customers up and makes them feel comfortable about their choice to return to an activity they've been missing. These small efforts are going to be what makes customers remember why they came to you in the first place. With so much competition and stress involved in the reopening of all business, entertainment spaces included, any competitive effort to stand out is going to be worth it.
### **Wayfinding and directional signage.**
It can be intimidating to re-enter places that were once familiar. Any effort you can make to ease the process for customers is going to increase the likelihood of them returning to your venue again. Examples of wayfinding or directional singing include flags or signage that lists new protocols, where temperature screening or hand sanitizer is located, and similar helpful information.

Not everyone understands what six feet really looks like. Without direction, people may tend to stand closer than is safe without even realizing it.
